An OCI catalog is a supplier catalog that your customer opens straight from their SAP system via SAP OCI (Open Catalog Interface). They are logged in automatically, find their products and prices there and transfer the cart to SAP. We deliver your OCI catalog as a complete package, as a new catalog shop or based on your existing open-source shop, set up and connected by our team.
An OCI catalog is an online catalog that speaks the SAP OCI (Open Catalog Interface) protocol: it accepts the call from SAP SRM, SAP S/4HANA or an OCI-capable procurement platform with login data and a return address (HOOK_URL), and posts the cart back to that address as a form with NEW_ITEM fields. Unlike a catalog stored in the procurement system, it always shows the current range with the customer's prices. We set it up as a complete package.

How does my shop become an OCI catalog?
A shop becomes an OCI catalog in one of three ways: with punchout.dev, a single script tag in the existing shop is enough, whatever the shop system. orcamultimedia's SAP OCI plugin extends Adobe Commerce, Magento 1/2, Shopware 5/6, WooCommerce, OroCommerce and OXID eShop. In the complete package, the orcamultimedia team sets up the OCI catalog and connects it, as a new catalog shop or in the existing open-source shop such as Magento, Shopware, OXID eShop, WooCommerce or OroCommerce.
Which procurement systems support OCI?
SAP OCI is supported mainly by SAP SRM and SAP S/4HANA. Procurement platforms such as Onventis and Unite (Mercateo) also connect supplier catalogs via OCI.
Which OCI functions are there beyond the cart?
Beyond the cart, SAP OCI versions 4 and 5 describe additional functions the procurement system triggers when it calls the OCI catalog: DOWNLOADJSON (catalog data as JSON for the procurement system's search index), BACKGROUND_SEARCH (background search), DETAIL, VALIDATE and SOURCING. orcamultimedia's SAP OCI plugins support all five, and so does the complete package, since it is built on the SAP OCI plugin. With DOWNLOADJSON and BACKGROUND_SEARCH the buyer finds products in their procurement system without opening the OCI catalog.
What is the difference between OCI and cXML?
SAP OCI and cXML both bring the cart from the supplier catalog into the customer's procurement system. SAP OCI is mainly used by SAP SRM and SAP S/4HANA, cXML by SAP Ariba, Coupa and many other procurement systems. The customer's procurement system decides which protocol applies.
What does an OCI catalog cost, and how fast is it?
